About Us
Mission Statement:
The UCI Women's and Men's Rowing Teams provide students the opportunity to train and compete at the highest possible level. This sport demands focus, perseverance, and teamwork in order to have a successful crew. As a result of these young men and women competing in this atmosphere, they are transformed into strong individuals, scholars, and pristine athletes.
About The Team:
The UCI Rowing Team was cut at a Varsity/NCAA sport in 2009. Now, we are a competitive club sport which races on a national level between colleges and universities across the United States.
UCI Rowing was one of the school's founding intercollegiate sports and has a long line of high end athletes. UCI has sent over six athletes to compete for the United States in the Olympics.
We row out of our boathouse on Shellmaker Island located in Newport Beach, CA, next door to the Back Bay Science Center.
